Acting inspector general of police, IGP Dr. George Dampare shocked the police stations in Greater Accra Region with some members of the Police Management Board on Thursday August 26. They visited some checkpoints and other police stations to confirm whether they are performing the night patrol assigned to them.
The police stations weren't aware of the visitation and the acting inspector general of police intensionally made this impromptu tour to rate the level of hardworking police and also interact with some of the motorists.
The acting general inspector of police, Dr. George started the operations with his senior officers on Thursday evening and ended on Friday midnight around 4:05am.
The checkpoints visited by the acting general inspector and Police Management Board are; Osu, Cantonment, El Wak, East Legon, Adenta, Mallam Junction, McCarthy Hill, Weija, Kaneshie and other checkpoints.
The team proceeded to the Accra Regional police command around 3:30am and also police hospital around 3:55am.
