He's Born to Restore Police Integrity: Ghanaians Praise Dr Dampare as President Confirm Him as IGP.

The President of the Republic of Ghana, H.E. Akuffo-Addo is set to make the acting Inspector General of Police (IGP), Dr George Dampare, the substantive IGP. According to Media General’s TV3, the President will be doing that today and Ghanaians couldn’t keep quiet about it. Indeed, the love for this acting IGP is enormous.

Since he was made the acting IGP of Ghana, the Police service has experienced some impressive positive changes. He has placed the operations of the Police service as his highest priority. He will occasionally stage his presence at any police post unannounced to check on his people. This has become very important because there are some police officials who misbehave on their job. Some collect money and beg for things on the roadside. Again, he doesn’t act all bossy on ordinary citizens. When he uses a road and there is traffic on the road, he will wait till it gets to his turn before he passes. Leadership by example.

He introduced horses to the operations of the Ghana Police. This will allow officers to patrol secluded areas, cites and monitor road activities without getting tired. Although his tenure of office has been marred with numerous crimes, kidnappings and body part cuttings, he has resolved to deal with matters head-on. He also updates the public consistently on all matters.

The enumerated above and many more has made him the man of the moment. Many Ghanaians believe he is up and ready for the task ahead, thus, they want the President to confirm him as the new IGP. Some even recommend that he should be IGP forever so that he will restore the integrity of the Ghana Police. What Ghanaians said about the matter:
