The Accra Rehabilitation Centre has the hope of working to change the stabled mind about the physically-challenged people. Well, about 50 disabled people are learning vocational skills to pursue and retrieve their talents which can give them life which is different from their counterparts who always live on alms.

Kofi Asare Reynold was found by Beryl Richter at the Accra Rehabilitation Centre and showed him the results of his unusual collaboration between his lips and sticks. He loves drawing and can draw almost everything, creating shapes and images and making well-guided brush strokes with his mouth. He holds a dream of opening his own art gallery. However, people who are physically-challenged like Kwaku Antwi suffers stain at every stage of their lives.

Kwaku Antwi disclosed that through all his life, he has been scorned and disrespected in many ways but managed to enroll in the institution for training 7years ago and is now the technical instructor at the rehab center, a position he has held since 2014.

The former manager of the facility, Stephen Dombo advised all people to resist the act of giving money to the physically challenged who beg on the street. According to Mr. Dombo, this act of giving kills the purpose of making them financially independent. He also urged all families to enroll their disabled relatives at the rehabilitation center. Kofi Asare and Kwaku Antwi come among the over thousand people who have been trained by this rehab center since its establishment in 1962.
