According to an eyewitness, the deceased, whose name was given as Ousmanu, was crossing the rail line this morning when a train moving from Kojokrom to Takoradi crushed him to death. The man's head was completely crushed in the process.
The said Ousmanu, a Nigerien, has been living around the Adiembra area trading cloths.
According to a Skyy Power FM reporter, Kaakyire, who was reporting from the scene, the man was crossing the rail line to the other adjoining communities because it is the only means of crossing after the completion of the line by Amandi constructions.
He reported that when the train started blowing his horn to want the man of its presence, the man could still not walk off the lines hurriedly, only for the train to knock him down.
He reported that a family has gone to the morgue to confirm whether he is their member.
