About 120 Nigerian Students Kidnapped By Gunmen

On the night of Sunday 04 to Monday 05 July, a boarding school in Kaduna, state in northwestern Nigeria, was attacked by an armed gang. About 140 high school students from the establishment were abducted. About 120 high school students from Kaduna State boarding school were kidnapped in an attack by armed men. Out of a total of 165 students sleeping in the establishment, only 25 were able to escape the attackers.

This is what one of the boarding school officials explained. These men who would have arrived on foot in the establishment, would have kidnapped these students, in return for a ransom. Because this kind of attack, in schools where students are kidnapped in schools and universities, is becoming more and more recurrent. The kidnappers and the place where they take the high school students are not yet known.

An investigation is nevertheless underway, to get hold of the perpetrators of this umpteenth attack, which is added to the others who have since terrorized the inhabitants of this part of Nigeria. Kaduna State is now at its 03rd attack in recent days, after that of Sunday morning in a hospital where there were 8 kidnappings. And for Sunday evening, which killed 07 people.
