On Saturday October 16 2021, there was a sad news circulating in the media space indicating one Maxwell who stabbed his wife Betty to death over little argument. The incident happened at Nyankyerenease in the Ashanti Region. According to the information that was gathered, there was a small misunderstanding between them as the man was accusing his pregnant wife of cheating. In the process of the argument, he pulled out a knife and stabbed her multiple times to death. The landlady of the house who overheard her screaming for help went and found her lying in a pool of blood with their six year old son sitting inside the room.
The Late Betty
He decided to run and hide himself after commiting such heinous crime. Luck eluded him as the town boys were able to locate him and allegedly lynched him before he was arrested. He couldn't withstand the severe beatings and was admitted to Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital with security force surrounding him. He suffered Haemo-Pneumothorax (internal bleeding) from the assault. Upon several interventions of the qualified medical personnel, he was not able to survive and gave up the ghost at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital Emergency Unit.
Maxwell has also met his untimely death because of how he allowed anger to control him by killing the very own woman he is married to. The most painful aspect of everything is how the innocent child has within a twinkle of an eye turned into an orphan. The little boy who has not committed any crime and witnessed the painful death of his mother would need a psychotherapy or else this trauma will linger in his mind for long. Psychologists have to counsel him for a very long time. Initially Maxwell and Betty were living peacefully but the insecurity of Maxwell has led to this irrevocable harm.
