Old lady gave her family the shock of their lives as she opens her eyes just before her cremation.

According to news, an elderly woman from India who was pronounced dead after testing positive for coronavirus awoke moments before her own cremation, giving her loved ones the shock of their lives.

Shakuntala Gaikwad, 76, from Baramati, was diagnosed with Covid-19 a week ago.

Her family drove her to the hospital on May 10 when her health began to deteriorate, but they were unable to find a bed for her because all of the wards were at full capacity.

And as they were worrying outside in an ambulance, the woman passed out, leading her family to believe she had died.

According to local media, they then returned her home and began cremation arrangements, but just as the funeral bier was about to be lit, the old lady opened her eyes and began crying. Santosh Gaikwad, a police officer, confirmed the story's veracity.

Dr. Sadanand Kale of Silver Jubilee Hospital told the press that the lady had returned to the hospital for more medical treatment. The woman's current medical condition is yet to be disclosed.
