My Son Was Killed And Is Still In The Mortuary After Two Years- Man Seeks Justice From IGP

About 2 years ago, a 12 years old boy by the name of Sumaila Fuseini was killed at a construction site after a worker dropped a cement block on his head. The boy had closed school with his friend and were headed towards their house. The site is at a junction in Dzorwulu where the children always pass to their home.

A worker at the site threw a cement block from the top of the storey building they were constructing and it hit the young. He was taken to the 37 military hospital and he died the following day. The father of the young boy, Sumaila Nabdal reported the case to the Police in Dzorwulu and after two years, justice has not been served.

The construction site was closed down but after few months, they were made to operate without any sanctions or arrest. The body of his child has been kept in the mortuary at the 37 military hospital till now since the case is with the Police. The father narrated that about 6 months ago, he went to the mortuary to see the body of his child as he normally does, but he was prevented from seeing the body.

Since then he has not been able to see the body of his child, and he cannot even tell whether the body is still at the mortuary. Aside that, he received no.compensation from the company for his loss and justice was not served either. He pleaded with the IGP to help him in his situation.
