Information reaching us from the Ghana Police Service us that one of their officials has been stabbed to death. General Sergeant Bright Annobil is the victim in this case. He was stationed at the Berekum Police division.
He was stabbed to death by one Yaw Peprah who was later shot to death by the police. Annobil met his untimely death when he was conducting an investigation about Yaw Peprah. Yaw Peprah is said to be an ex-convict who was invited to assist the Berekum Police division about a case he was involved in. "On the arrival at the vicinity of the Police Station, the suspect, unexpectedly turned on the Police Sergeant and stabbed him serverally on the neck and other parts of the body and escaped. The officer was rushed to the holy Hospital for treatment but died shortly after admission" the police said. 
The IGP George Akufo Dampare has spoken to the family and promise to offer them the needed support.
