Dampare Storms Tamale To Meet Critically Injured Police Officers Involved In Fatal Accident

Since Dr. George Akuffo Dampare's name was mentioned to take over as the Inspector-General of Police (IGP), the Police Service has taken a new turn. This has called for the applause from many Ghanaians and other high-profile personalities in the country.

The Inspector-General of Police, Dr. George Akuffo Dampare does not seem to be stopping anytime soon as he continues to do the most. The IGP earlier this morning, paid a visit to some Police officers (3) who were critically injured in a fatal accident which occurred on the Walewale-Bolgatanga road yesterday evening. Unfortunately, two Police officers lost their lives from the accident. The five (5) Police officers were members of the Anti-robbery Squad who were responding to an emergency on the Walewale-Bolgatanga road.

According to a press release signed by Assistant COP Kwesi Ofori, it stated that processes were underway to airlift the injured Police officers to Accra for further treatment there. It added that the Police have also visited the families of Police officers who lost their lives to commiserate with them.
