Ishmael Mensah, a ten-year-old child, was murdered in Kasoa by two teenagers who wanted to use him for rituals. The tragic incident has sparked public interest, with Ghanaians calling for the murderers to be imprisoned for a long time.
Ishmael was discovered buried in an unfinished building, and the boys said they wanted to get a ransom from the family before using his body in rituals.
They say they were approached by a priestess they saw on TV and who requested Ghc5,000 and human body parts.
On behalf of John Mahama, Professor Jean Nana Opoku Agyeman paid a visit to the family and presented them with Ghc10,000 to assist them with any expenses they might incur.
May his soul rest in peace.
