"Chop Bar" Operators On Pokuase Interchange Pavement Reportedly Granted Bail

The Pokuase Interchange is a four level stack interchange situated at Pokuase junction. Construction of this project started wayback in 2018 and was commissioned for use on the 9th of July July, 2021 by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo Addo. The main aim of the interchange is to remove constriction at the Pokuase junction by preventing numerous traffic conflicting with one another from the Awoshie-Pokuase and Accra-Kumasi roads. Ever since the commissioning of the Pokuase interchange, a lot of massive reactions and applause from the Ghanaian people were showered on the current ruling government.

There is a popular saying that goes this way; "wonders shall never end". You wouldn't believe this saying unless you find yourself in a certain marveling, incredible and hard-to-understand situation. Sometimes, you get to suffer in making something very catchy and helpful only for some people to use certain tactics to destroy it. There was a viral video making waves on the internet about how a man, his wife and daughter had used the Pokuase interchange pavement to open a sort of "chop bar". The video is even still trending. In this video, the man can be seen helping the wife as they pound fufu. This attracted massive reactions from netizens and even those who are not active on social media platforms. As the video went viral, the police decided to play their part. The 60-year-Old Kwame Addo and his 32-year old daughter, Comfort Dartey were arrested by the police during an operation.

News coming in currently suggests that, this father and daughter have finally been granted bail by the Accra Regional Police Command. Speaking on Citi FM Wednesday evening, the public relations officer (PRO) of the Accra Regional Police Command, DSP Juliana Obeng said that the two are expected at the station today, 26th August, 2021 for further investigations.
