Management of the Effia-Nkwanta Regional Hospital has refuted claims made by the Police in respect of the medical records of Josephine Panyin Mensah, the 28-yr-old lady at the centre of the pregnancy-kidnapping brouhaha.
Earlier, the Acting Director General of the Ghana Police Service's Public Affairs Directorate in an interview on Joy News said the results of the Effia-Nkwanta Regional Hospital affirms the previous outcome which was conducted by the medical doctors at Axim Government Hospital.
However, Medical Director of the facility, Dr. Joseph Tambil told Empire News that the facility has not yet released the medical records of Josephine and that the said results are likely to be released to the Police on Monday, September 27, 2021.
Dr. Joseph Tambil said;
"The Police people are on the grounds and may have spoken to people but at the moment we haven’t issued a formal report to the Police. And I’m not in a position to confirm if she was pregnant or not until our report is given to the appropriate quarters".
Dr. Tambil also indicated that Josephine is responding to treatment and is in a stable condition.
