At Kotoka International Airport, a man was caught with 656 ATM cards.

Bachir Musa Aminou, 42, was arrested at the Kotoka International Airport on suspicion of holding 656 ATM cards.

Musa Aminou was picked up by authorities from the National Intelligence Bureau at the Kotoka International Airport, according to the Daily Graphic.

According to the article, Musa Aminou claims to be a Nigerian but was discovered with a Nigerien passport.

The cards were allegedly concealed in a plastic bag containing kola nuts. On September 12, 2021, the NIB apprehended Musa Aminou while he was conducting formalities at the KIA on his route to Dubai.

According to additional information given by the state-owned publication, the 42-year-old visited the country on April 29, 2020, before departing for Dubai on May 26, 2020.

According to reports, the cards are linked to one Ghanaian bank and eight Nigerian banks.

During interrogation, he is believed to have stated that he owned 132 cards and that the rest were owned by his business associates.

He admitted to investigators that he conducts business in China, Dubai, Nigeria, and Ghana.

Aminou, who had $12,000 in his possession at the time of his arrest, denied any wrongdoing.
