Kasoa has been known over the years as the hub and epicenter of criminal offenses in the country.
It has become so predictable on social media, as it keeps trending daily for diverse criminal activities like ritual killing and robbery.
With its large number of residents, coupled with a cluster of sociocultural orientation, it is very difficult to trace the direct triggering factors of these rampant crimes.
This grips a lot of fears in business tycoons and travellers who want to do a particular assignment or executive personal tasks in the community.
Though it is possible that some are truly in love with the entire outlook and renditions of the town, others are just in deep repellance each time they hear the name of the town.
An Angel FM Reporter from Kasoa revealed that there is no single plant (or generator) in the hospital, and this creates a lot of problems whenever there is a power outage.
A mother and child, together with a pregnant woman in labour and another on oxygen lost their lives after the light went off in the hospital for a couple of hours.
It is so sad that an 80-bed capacity hospital does not have a single plant to augment and support its operational activities.
This was also confirmed by an eyewitness.
I wonder why it was commissioned to commence operations in the first place.
This is a death trap, and in fact, those responsible for breaching the health regulations and ethics must be brought to books, and sanctioned for such carelessness.
This could have happened to everyone. This practice of ignorance, lackadaisical attitude and lack of respect for the rights of citizens must stop.
Ghana Police Service and Ghana Medical Association must take an immediate action to arrest the Director of the Polyclinic as well as the Doctors and other staff members who were on duty when the incident occurred.
All key stakeholders who were involved in the commissioning of the hospital must also be traced to face the law.
I am pretty sure that if proper actions are being taken on regular basis to monitor and supervise the running of these Polyclinics, morality rates will reduce drastically.
