It was reported that a gentle man named Simon Abunkurigo, was killed by a Shea tree amidst of a great storm today in Tempane, Upper East Region.
According to Mr. Williams Adam Asaana, the Tempane District Director, National Disaster Management Organization (NADMO), the deceased intended to go in search of his nursing sheep when he noticed the likeliness of the storm and fortunately, he found the sheep but on his way back home, the storm got higher so he had to wait under one big shea tree in the town.
Whiles waiting, he notices that he is in a great danger that the tree was uprooting so he took to his heels but unfortunately, he could not escape the tree and it torn him apart causing a lot of grief on the hearts of his family and the people of Tempane.
It was reported that three houses were also destroyed and some of the inhabitants sustained injuries. Mr. Williams Adam Asaana, rushed there to share his condolence.
