This is not why we Voted for you, Ghanaians tell the President after Announcing the Commissioning of the Pokuase Interchange
President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo has announced on his Facebook page that preparations are underway to officially commission and open the Pokuase Interchange for traffic.
The project, which was estimated at a cost $84 million, was jointly funded by the African Development Bank (AfDB) and the Ghana government.
Though, it was projected to be completed by April 2020, unforseen contingencies such as the COVID-19 pandemic can largely account for the delay in the completion of the Interchange.
Part of the Interchange has already been opened to traffic some months back, however the official commissioning of the project would mean that the whole Interchange is now ready for traffic use.
This is indeed good news that will bring a sigh of relief to those commuters plighing the road.
Despite the fact that this is a good news, must comment coming shortly after the post only indicates disappointment in the President.
Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo seems to be loosing touch with the people of Ghana.
