A missing body which went missing for two days, has been found by officials at Jumapo, in the eastern region. The man whom family failed to name, was admitted to the hospital for almost three weeks, before his demise. According to close relatives within the family, the man suffered from a nervous break down on the 2 of March 2021, and was rushed to the hospital, after spending almost one week at the hospital before been discharged. He was alleged to have taken poisonous substance, looking at the range his livers were destroying. But none of the family took him serious, except the wife.
According Mr. Akuamoah, who gave a thirty minutes interview, he was a member of the family but due to personal reasons, he is no longer a member of the family. The Oyoko family he comes from, had a problem with his wife's family over some farming lands, which both families shared boundaries. He took the side of his wife when he saw that, the wife's family's case was legit. And his family was just trying to use his influence in his marriage, to seize the lands from the family. He stood against it, and as a result, ended his ties with his own family. This has since brought unsettled disputes between him and the family, after he made sure his wife's family got back their lands in full. His family disowned him, after the brutal battle for the lands.
Mr. Akuamoah is the immediate sibling of the deceased whose body went missing from the hospital, and was called by one of the officials of the hospital, when they find out the body was missing. Mr. Akuamoah is a former administrator at the Koforidua hospital, and he knew one of his siblings wasn't feeling well, and couldn't visit him on his hospital bed. But made sure to call him on the phone everyday, till his last days. The family was always around the deceased man knowing, he was going to die. At least three people were with the man, at a point in time, on his hospital bed. They were more than watchman watching him to die said Mr. Akuamoah.
The man was transferred from Atiwa to work in Koforidua, but ended up doing farming in Jumapo, along side his work. The deceased man believed that, his mother's lands were for his mother alone, and went on to farm on some of the lands. Mr. Akuamoah warned his immediate brother to stay away from the lands, if he wants to stay long, but he refused to listen. According to Mr. Akuamoah, their family is not an ordinary family where you can take things and expect everyone to be happy with you. Especially farm lands, they are like golds within the family and you will die mysteriously, if you dare take one.
That was part of his reasons why he broke out from his family, because of their urge to seize his wife's family lands and add to theirs, because both families shared boundary on the land which is over three hectares. Mr. Akuamoah's immediate sibling died on March 14, and the hospital could not see the body again. The body which was to be examined by the doctors to see what exactly killed the man, suddenly vanished from the hospital without a cause and a trace.
The wife Nancy, who hold the hospital responsible for the missing body of her husband, wanted to sue the hospital, but the body was found at the entrance of the hospital this morning. No one knew how the body got to the entrance of the hospital, when hospital officials called Nancy to let her know, her husband's body has been found. Mr. Akuamoah wasn't surprise when the body was returned. According to him, when his late uncle Guam died, same thing happened. The man died in the morning, and they couldn't find the body until the next day.
It is believed that, the family Mr. Akuamoah comes from the Oyoko family, is very spiritual and relies more on spiritual deities for most of the activities. Mr. Akuamoah said on camera that, he was certain the family knew something about his immediate brother's death, because of the farming lands he went to farm on. And they were afraid of someone going behind them to find out who killed him, so they took the body to enchant it, just like what they did to his uncle, before bringing the body back. The Oyoko family decline to comment on the story and forbid me sharing the name of their relatives. Hospital officials decline to answer too, because of policies. The hospital will be investigating how the body got missing and whoever is responsible, will face the law. The administrators Mr. Frimpong, was certain they can comment on the issue after their investigations. The body has since been sent to the mortuary.
