A group of armed robbers have killed a private Security guard who was keeping watch over his masters company in Kumasi and bolted away with items worth GHS 89,000 yesterday.
The Security guard known in real life as one Andoh Bosompem, a married 49-year-old was killed yesterday at midnight when the suspected robbers got to A2 Enterprise, a business entity tbay deals in aluminum products in the heart of the Ashanti Regional capital at Santase-Kokoben.
Reports has it that he was stabbed with a sharp object and died in a pool of blood inside the shop.
The business owner, Mr. Steven Okyi disclosed that the unfortunate incident happened in the night of yesterday. The suspects made away with GHS 89,000 that was in a safe and left the bleeding Security guard, Mr. Bosompem to bleed to death.
The Businessman was interviewed today on an Accra-based radio station that has an affiliate within the Ashanti Region.
He narrated that he came to see the deceased's hands tied at his back this morning when some of the workers reported to work. He said when they saw the incident, they called him, made a report to the Police at Santase and they came to see how sad the security officer had died overnight from the Robbery incident.
Mr. Okyi went on that it was not only his shop that was robbed but rather, another shop close his that provides services to the Electricity Company of Ghana and thr Ghana Water Company was also robbed. "They made away with GHS 8,000 from that shop, too," he added.
Currently, the Police Service have sent the body of the dead man to the morgue and are carrying out with their investigations.
The Police administration has assured the workers in the said company and residents who live within Santase that, they are working around the clock to bring the suspects to broad day light and make sure they account for their deeds in the region.
