Journalists are thought to be the watchmen/watchdogs over the conduct of sociopolitical and economic affairs of any people who hope to have a free, transparent and accountable society and when they are threatened, gagged or physically harmed, then fear of insecurity and suppression of freedoms is bound to happen.
Armed Hussein-Suale, a Ghanaian journalist got killed on January 16 2019 and his murderer(s) is/are yet to be brought to book.
However, member of parliament for Assin North, Mr. Kennedy Agyapong who has mostly been alleged in the news with his image as a law maker being on the line as having knowledge of the murderers of the slain journalist has come out with a name as the one who actually perpetrated the act which he claims the Ghana police knows. Nevertheless, police have come out to flatly deny Mr. Agyapong's claims.
Mr. Eugene Boakye Antwi, member of parliament representing the good people of Subin in the Ashanti Region, speaking on good morning Ghana however thinks that, the police will do the public a lot more good if they can buttress their disagreement with Mr. Agyapong with hard facts rather than just saying his allegation is not true.
