As the new Inspector-General of Police in Ghana, Dr. George Akuffo Dampare has become the man of the moment in the Ghana Police Service. Dampare had been the acting General of the same position since 1 August 2021, upon the retirement of his predecessor, before being appointed to the office by President Nana Akufo-Addo. Many Ghanaians have immediately called him to congratulate him on his appointment as IGP, and some Ghanaian celebrities have also visited him to wish him well.
In a photo shared on social media, Dr. George Akuffo Dampare is seen talking to Stonebwoy in his office, and the dancehall artist is congratulating him on his new appointment to the highest position in the Police Service.
