It has been almost three years when the issue of missing Takoradi girls came up. The girls, were kidnapped and it was very sad when relatives got to hear the news. I was actually in the same class with one of the girls, Ruthlove Quayson. We both completed Fijai Senior High School in 2018.
This issue really trended and it got to a time it seemed nothing was done about it. Families of these girls were informed that human bones were found in a septic tank at one of the suspects house. Since it's difficult to easily accept the death of a loved one, they objected and ask for a test to be conducted to confirm if their girls were actually dead.
All too soon, there's a news coming. From the look of things the four girls are no more but there's good news; the two suspects involved have been sentenced to death by the Sekondi High Court.
The suspects; Samuel Udeotuk Wills and John Oji were charged for kidnapping and murdering Ruth Abakah, Priscilla Blessing Bentum, Ruthlove Quayson and Priscilla Koranchie whom they captured at Kansawurodo, Butumagyebu, and Nkroful Junction all in Sekondi-Takoradi.
It's sad news plus good news. My condolences to all families of these girls.
