Kwaku Baako vows to expose all NPP members involved in galamsey.

The managing editor of the new crusading guide news paper has added his voice to the ongoing brouhaha concerning the illegal mining or galamsey menace.

The issue of galamsey has dominated discussions on almost all our media platforms.

This is as a result of the impending dangers that the illegal mining menace is going to have on our cherished nation Ghana in the near future.

According to health experts, the country has even started experiencing some of the negative effects of the galamsey menace.

Almost all our water bodies are being polluted and this has increased the cost of producing water by the Ghana water company.

Many stakeholders and well meaning Ghanaians have have added their voices to the need for stringent measures to be put in place in order to curb the menace.

The veteran journalist was speaking on peace Fm's morning show program. According to Mr Baako the earlier attempt by the government to fight the menace failed because it was highjacked by some NPP members.

“Many of those people making noise that they are fighting the menace don’t tell the truth. What they do is to fabricate stories against others as a basis for their continued involvement in it”.

I’m praying that I deal with my case at the court and Anas finishes with his case because I would like to open up for people to hear. People who go around accusing others of being involved in galamsey are neck deep in it themselves. No truth, honesty and integrity in this country and without this, you can’t win that fight. It is from my heart because I know what I’m talking about”

Unfortunate, the hard work Anas did in exposing people deeply engrossed in the menace yielded no positive response. It is obvious the fight against the galamsey menace is going to be a very difficult one.
