The administrator of the WASSCE telegram channel, Jerusalema, has been arrested but the National Security operatives at Kasoa, for being responsible for WASSCE examination papers leakage. Jerusalema is known to be a dealer when it comes to exams apo in Kasoa. Some Administrators Of WAEC said part of the examination papers was found circulating on social media before the WASSCE examination began and such cheating groups were fully operating during that period.
Kofi Asare (The Executive Director) said his organization has collected information that when gone through can help the examination body and government improve their quality of assessment, by considering security and also better their credibility.
He then said, they started having conversations with the CID on Their research on Tuesday, 4th Sept and later presented their indications and root of information fr the revealed WASSCE examination questions.
He further said the team purchased those revealed WASSCE examination papers at a price ranging from GHS30 to GHS100 from the cheating social media platform.
The examination questions are not leaked in classrooms neither not leaked in examination centres, but rather leaked in the nigh the period t where the WASSCE examination papers are supposed to be in a secured place, he said.
The Examination questions leakage begins from the main source to the schools then end up on social media. About 100 schools have been confirmed that the examination questions to the schools before appearing on social media, Kofi Asare said.
