Finally, someone with conscience, integrity, and courage is speaking up on this. This issue irks many so much and has been incensed with the silence by almost everyone, including the media and even the opposition on this. As a country, we’re so comfortable with certain things that, even if it’s hitting us straight in the face, we don’t seem to notice or even care.
Kwesi Kyei Darko is a renowned Ghanaian consultant, brand promoter, and the former director of public affairs and communications at GHANA INVESTMENT PROMOTION CENTRE. The gentleman is mostly known to comment on issues about the entertainment industry.
Surprisingly, the gentleman has lashed out today at people in authority for what he alleged is the attempt to keep the masses impoverished by their deeds. He seemed deeply perplexed not hearing parliament shouting from the rooftop about this issue, which truly irritated him.
To the gentleman, the finance minister's company is a transaction advisor to the monies the country borrow and as Ghana gets poorer, the company gets richer. He quizzed "is this how we want the country to continue?"
The legislature wasn't spared of his rantings either as he criticized them for allowing such things to continue. According to the gentleman, people elevated to positions of authority are enriching themselves to the detriment of the ordinary Ghanaian and this is unacceptable.
