Prophet Owusu Bempah Speaks About IGP Dampare’s Arrest On Prophets; Are Prophets Under Attack?

The Inspector-General of Police Dr George Akuffo Dampare may have been misunderstood for arresting Prophets and other men of God who prophesy about others, Apostle Dr Isaac Owusu Bempah has argued. According to him, there is more to what the IGP is doing that many Ghanaians aren’t aware of, and that might have crowded their judgment about the arrest he’s made so far against the prophetic.

Apostle Dr Owusu Bempah said that the misconception that has greeted the recent arrest and prosecution of Prophets in the country is a predestined event. He added that the IGP is only working with the laws to keep order in society. He explained that there is nothing about his work that could be said to be an attack on prophets.

The Prophet indicated that he is very much informed about the circles of religious men some of whom are prophets that IGP Dampare keeps. He mentioned that the late T.B Joshua was his spiritual father, and Prophet Victor Kusi Boateng is a very close friend of his.

He argued on this basis that IGP Dampare would have caused unending damage to his friendship and spiritual health if indeed he was fighting prophets in the country.

“I don’t agree that the IGP hates Prophets, and I am not sure he is going to rise against Prophets. That is not to mean I am scared of him.

“I have heard that his spiritual father was T.B Joshua, so if he has hate for the prophetic he wouldn’t have followed him. Again his best friend is Prophet Victor Kusi Boateng.”

Prophets Shouldn’t Be Scared

Apostle Dr Owusu Bempah urged his colleague prophets and other men of God not to be silenced by these arrests made on people like him and others when God reveals a message to them. He insisted that as much as there is truth in what they say, they should be scared about its consequences.

He however cautions that people, who are tempted to prophesy on issues without being touched by God, should put an end to it.

“It is right to say what reveals to you. That is how it should be. I feel we should be careful with this undue competition for relevance. Some have resorted to conjuring issues as prophets but if your word is truly from God don’t be scared to pronounce it.”

He indicated that as much as the truth remains that a message from God is prophesied, any attack on the prophet is tantamount to an attack on God.

“So if you attack the Prophet you have attacked God. And know this God will never stop talking through us.”
