The 29-year-old woman, Josephine Panyin Mensah, who was allegedly kidnapped and found by the Police has asked forgiveness that she was not pregnant.
Josephine confessed to a team of medical and investigation officers heeding to her at the Effia-Nkwanta Regional Hospital in the Western Region.
Reports has it that the woman has asked forgiveness amidst uncontrollable tears from her husband Michael Simons who happens to be innocent and in a state of surprise.
The Medical Director of the Effia-Nkwanta Regional Hospital, Dr. Joseph Tambil notified Takoradi-based Empire FM that the hospital may disclose the medical summary of the suspect to the police on Monday, September 27, 2021.
He asserted "The Police personel are on the grounds and may have talked to people but at the juncture we haven't handed out a formal report to the Police. And I’m not in a proper stance to ascertain if she was pregnant or not until our summary is given to the applicable quarters."
Meanwhile, the Ghana Police Service has declared openly that Josephine is now a suspect for scheme to kidnapping.
According to the Police, Mrs. Mensah planned with three others to falsify her abduction.
The Police in a statement said she was never pregnant and she schemed the game.
"The victim, now a suspect, during interrogation spoke of the European Hospital in Takoradi as the hospital for her antenatal examinations and appraisall.
Medical reports at the hospital indicated that the lady attended the hospital with no pregnancy dating back in October last year," the statement said.
