Death is an event that brings sorrow into the hearts of many. Nobody wants to lose a loved one like a mother or Father or spouse but it is indeed a fact that we live today to leave this earth tomorrow.
Some of us have friends and relatives who may have died but is death really the beginning or the end of our journey? Does everything cease once we die and there could be a form of continuity elsewhere? In brief, let us hear some of the various assertions.
ISLAM teaches that after death, the soul remains in a kind of "soul sleep" until the day of resurrection when Allah judges the living and the dead. Is this doctrine the reality of what happens after death?
ROMAN CATHOLIC's believe that after death, people go to a place to go through purification so as to achieve the holiness required to go to Heaven. This is called Purgatory. . Is this doctrine the reality of what happens after death?
BAHAI teaches that heaven and hell do not exist but they are just symbols representing being either close to or far from god. Is this doctrine the reality of what happens after death?
HINDUS believe that when someone dies, he or she is born into a different body largely determined by his or her previous life. Is this doctrine the reality of what happens after death?
AZTECS believe that when someone dies, they will enter into any one of the three places they believed was where they would spend their life after death; and these three places are Mictlan, Tlalocan, or the sun. Is this doctrine the reality of what happens after death?
Some people say after death, the body rots, the spirit, memory, personality, awareness, body, and mind disappear and are no more. This is called ANNIHILATION; and is this doctrine the reality of what happens after death?
Other people say that after death is REINCARNATION or TRANSMIGRATION OF THE SOUL: which means that our soul and spirit are reborn into a human fetus or newborn child. Is this doctrine the reality of what happens after death?
There are so many theories about what happens after death but what are the sources of those theories? Are all sources from God? If yes, why so many distinctions?
Death is a natural phenomenon in our world and the gateway to the unseen world. It is a means to be introduced to the realities of eternity. I call it the realm of Truth because just the truth of what it is will be displayed once you die.
So then, that means that these different assertions from different faiths cannot all be right because the answer will stand out on the day you die (the day of accountability).
The devil has vowed to prevent anyone from entering Heaven. Therefore he has unleashed his strategies to win at all cost; and two common tools he's unleashed are deception and ignorance.
With deception, he ensures to blind our ears towards the truth; and since no blind man can see, he or she will eventually fall into the pit. With ignorance, he ensures to blind our mindset towards the truth, thereby making it difficult to know or accept the truth.
But since we believe in our faith (Christianity), our claims must be projected. So then, let these words sink into our heads that after death, we will either go to Heaven or to Hell where we will enjoy the RIP's.
In Hell, we shall roast in eternal punishment while in Heaven, we shall rest in eternal Peace; for there is no neutral place in eternity apart from these two destinations.
How you die isn't the problem; where you go to after death is the problem. You have an appointment with death. The appointment in itself isn't a problem but where you go to after the appointment is the real deal.
Whether we give thought to death or not, we shall surely day on a certain day. It is appointed for man to die once, and after that comes JUDGEMENT. Let us ensure to maintaining our Holiness in the Lord; for without holiness, no person shall see the Lord. Amen.
