At least 16 people have been killed and more others severely injured in a road accident in Akyem Safo this dawn in Ghana on Friday 26th February, 2021, local police confirmed.
The spokesperson for the Akyem Safo divisional police command of the Ghana Police Service told Kel TV that the accident happened when a VIP bus heading towards Ghana's second largest and busiest city, Kumasi crashed killing at least 16 people on the spot
Kel TV report that the bodies of the deceased had been deposited at a nearby hospital while the injured admitted and receiving treatment at various health facilities
"16 people reported death as at now with several others in critical condition after the VIP bus crashed, various hospitala and clinics are taking care of the injured due to the high number of injured persons" Kel TV report.
