The Homeland Study Group Foundation and founder of the Western Togoland group, Charles Komi Kudzordzi, also known as Papavi Kudzordzi have been on the run for sometimes now; since he was declared wanted, after the secessionist group had organized a convention in the Volta regional capital Ho to declare themselves independent.

In the latest update, sources within the secessionist group has revealed to Tv3, that the 80 year old Mr. Kudzordzi, was picked up by BNI and National Security on Wednesday 28 July, 2021 night from his hideout in Ho.

Mr. Charles Komi Kudzordzi and eight others were first arrested in May 2019 and sent to Accra for organizing a secessionist group; but charges against them were later dropped by the State.

Later in November 20, 2019, the Ho District Court again ordered the arrest of Mr. Kudzordzi and two others over their unlawful declaration, that they have separated from Ghana and have become a sovereign state.
