Ghana Police has arrested momo vendor, who is selling ID numbers to fraudsters at Akim Abuakwa.

Barely three weeks of implementing this policy, Users are encounting challenges which represent dangers to personal identification and information of users. Per no identification card no Mobile Money Policy. Mobile Money operators are mandated to enter the Identification number of users who wants to cash out before transactions can be executed.

Moreover, a mobile money vendor who is called Richard Ofori has been selling ID numbers to fraudsters at Akim Abuakwa. With the aid of the intervention of Police with much effort , they arrested the vendor. After arresting the vendor he made a cautious statement that "on 14th April 2021, Bullet (Fraudster) called him that he (Richard Ofori) should sell the ID numbers to him or else he will kill him and his entire family" .

This made Richard Ofori capable of doing such thing to the people of Akim Abuakwa. He sold 761 ID numbers. And each of them cost 500 Ghana Cedis. The Police retrieved 10,678 Ghana cedis from his momo wallet. He then explain that it was the Fraudster who gave the money to him.

A woman who is called Abena Akoto . Issued a report to the Police that a fraudster has retrieved 3,453 Ghana cedis from her mobile Money wallet. After she issued the report to the Police, The Police made an investigation . And after the investigation the police addressed the woman that it was Bullet (Fraudster) whom retrieved the money from the electronic wallet.

Now Ghana Police is looking forward to arrest Bullet. The Ghana Police is advising the general public to be vigilant, Because the fraudsters are at work.
