The Ghana police service has been able to arrest a bank worker in Accra. According to ACP Kwadwo Ofori the suspect is working with the bank and there is an ongoing investigations. Two robbers too were killed when they attacked a man with a pieces of Gold in Kumasi. He said when someone goes to the bank to cash out a huge amount of money, citizens should do off-counter services.
The person can request for the money to be taken to a small room in the bank then they will put it in a parcel for him. He also said they are going to talk with the banks to also monitor people who have been coming to the bank. Sometimes you will someone who is neatly dressed at the banking hall but they are not there for any transaction but to monitor those who have come there to cash out money and will also be receiving calls too.
ACP Kwadwo Ofori also said some of the banks have directives that "no phone calls should be made at the bank" but others too do not have those directives. He again said the police service will make sure to solve all the problems citizens are facing in relation to the recent crimes and robberies.
