Public Procurement Authority Denies Any Knowledge of Approval of National Cathedral Project

The Public Procurement Authority has issued a statement to deny any knowledge relating to the approval of contract for the construction of National Cathedral by RIDADE company limited.

The documents of the letter from the Public Procurement Authority was made public by the NDC member of parliament for North Tongu, Okudzeto Ablakwa.

The letter from the Public Procurement Authority was in response to a request made by Hon. Okudzeto Ablakwa to seek information on the documents regarding the award of contract to RIDADE Company limited by the State.

The letter signed by the Chief Executive of the Public Procurement Authority, Mr Frank Mante noted that "with reference to your letter on application to access information on the procurement approval relating to the construction of the national cathedral by RIDADE company limited.

"Please be informed that the Public Procurement Authority holds no information relating to the construction of the National Cathedral by RIBABE company limited."

The letter from the Public Procurement Authority has affirmed the claims by the NDC MP that the award of contract did follow proper procedure.

Ghanaians will be waiting earnestly to see the response government will give over the issue
