Road Accident

Dampare Chases And Arrests V8 Driver Who Drove Recklessly On The Kumasi-Accra Highway. Read Details.

The behaviour of some Ghanaian drivers on major roads and highways is very appalling. Could the reckless driving of some Ghanaian drivers on our roads be under the influence of interesting car race games they enjoy at home? It is sometimes very disturbing to see some drivers trying to reach their destinations very early without obeying simple road safety rules. Ghanaians have praised Mr Dampare again for enforcing road safety rules and regulations. Mr Dampare is recently reported to have chased a careless V8 driver on the Kumasi-Accra highway until arrest.

Another Ghanaian man named Gilbert Danso has got himself in trouble for driving recklessly on the Kumasi-Accra highway. This man was said to have ignored safety rules on our roads, and drove anyhow he preferred. Gilbert was reported to have driven at high speed and also overtook most drivers who were ahead of him. Unlucky for Gilbert, our honourable IGP was in one of the cars heading toward Accra. Mr Dampare, as all Ghanaians know, did not take the incident lightly. He chased this V8 driver until his arrest. The plate number for the V8 vehicle was GB 3729-20. Gilbert Danso was reported to be 29 years of age.

Mr Dampare who witnessed the reckless driving of this young man, immediately informed the Police officers at Kyebi to stop the approaching V8 vehicle. This driver was finally arrested by the Police at Kyebi and serious interrogation and investigation were done. During the investigation, some serious issues were detected on the V8 vehicle. It was found that the number plate on the V8 vehicle was registered with a Toyota Yaris car. Meaning, he is using a different registered car number plate for the V8 Vehicle he is currently driving. This 29-year-old was reported to have been asked multiple questions by the Police which most of them he had no answer to give. Gilbert Danso is reported to be faced with the law probably tomorrow.
