Earnest Kwabena Opoko was assaulted by his colleagues miners accused of stealing gold worth GH 150 cedis at the gold mine where he works.
A video showed two people being assaulted and stripped naked as they were beaten with flexible pipes which is said to be ordered by the leader of this miners.
According to Ama Awandaga who is the wife of the deceased ,she was in the house when someone told her to go to her husband’s work place as he was being beaten.She then went with her 2 months old baby to the scene and pleaded with the leader all she could but they all fell on death ears.His watched his husband being beaten till his manhood enlarged as he was naked.The leader was rather laughing at her.
He was later sent to the hospital where he passed on.She narrated all these to the Joynews journalists in tears as her child was on her legs.According to her and other family members,they hope justice is rightly served to them as the matter has been reported to the police station.
