Police Arrest Two Over Bullion Van Attack At Tarkwa

The Tarkwa Police Divisional Command has arrested two persons in connection with the robbery incident that occurred at Tarkwa yesterday.

The robbery incident took place at Ransbet Supermarket when a bullion van carrying money was attacked some gun men.

The two suspects, Charles Enning and Dorcas Akosua Amankwa, both workers of Mon-Trans Limited are assisting in investigations following suspicion of complicity in the crime.

According to Police report, preliminary investigations indicates that, the two suspects, Charles Enning, a driver and Dorcas Akosua Amankwa, a teller of the Company went to Ransbet Supermarket for proceeds made over the Weekend.

However, the two failed to pick up the Police officer who was detailed to provide security for them, this makes them suspects.

In the process of transporting the money to the bullion van, a suspected robber in mask attacked them and made away with the money on a waiting motorbike.

Police are currently pursuing the two suspected robbers to bring them to book as they appeal to the public to volunteer information about the suspects.
