Court remands trader for alleged robbery at Abuakwa

A 25-year-old broker has been remanded into police authority by the Nkawie circuit court for supposed theft at Abuakwa in the Atwima-Nwabiagya South Municipality. 

The request of Clement Oppong was not taken and he would return under the watchful eye of the court managed by Mr Johnson Abbey on January 19, this year. 

Analyst Sergeant Francis Opoku told the court that the complainant was a broker at Manhyia close to Abuakwa. 

He said on December 24 a year ago, the suspect and two different accessories, who are presently everywhere, assaulted the complainant with sticks and cutlasses to request cash from him. 

They beat him and prevailing with regards to taking his neckband, cash, cell phones and other important things and shot. 

Sergeant Opoku said the suspect was captured by the police the following day, following a comparative assault on different occupants in the zone. 

He said the complainant went to the police headquarters and recognized the suspect as among the posse who assaulted him the earlier day. 

The arraignment said examinations were on proceeding to request that the court remand him in police authority.
