News coming in from Akyem Oda indicates that, a ten year old girl has passed away in a fire outbreak in the Eastern Region. According to reports, this sad incident happened in the early hours of Sunday in Akyem Gyadam in the Eastern region.
According to reports, the mother was with her 4 year old boy and her daughter who is 10 years in a room fast asleep when the burning started. The woman woke up to the ablaze and was able to save only her four year old boy.
She tried hard to save her ten year old daughter and even sustained several injuries. But her struggle didn't end well. She has therefore been taken to Oda Government hospital for treatment. This is indeed a sad news from the Eastern region.
The cause of the fire outbreak is yet to made public by the Ghana Police and the Ghana Fire Service. The deceased has currently been sent to the Morgue.
The mother of the deceased even though is severally injured, she cannot control herself as one her children is dead.
Similar fire incident happen in Akyem Oda Central Market also recorded fire outbreak where thousands of properties got destroyed.
