NIA suspends registration at GRA, RGD from October 25

The National Identification Authority (NIA) will suspend registration on Monday, October 25 at all of its thirty-four registration centers, which are located at the offices of the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA), the Registrar-Department General's (RGD), and the NIA.

The offices will be closed from Monday, October 25, 2021 to Tuesday, November 2, 2021, according to a statement from NIA's client service.

The suspension of services at the GRA and RGD offices has become necessary as the NIA deploys personnel to its permanent offices across the country.

On Wednesday, November 3, 2021, 16 regional offices, 275 NIA operational district offices, and premium registration centers at the NIA head office will open across the country.

This arrangement is intended to allow NIA to bring its various services, such as new registrations, card collection or issuance, card replacement, and personal record updates, to the people's doorstep.
