He Deserves It: Popular Journalist Slapped With Ghs 50,000 Bail Over Fake Kidnapping Case In Tadi

The recent rise in kidnapping cases in Takoradi has undoubtedly raised lots of concerns amongst citizens in the region as most have boldly come out to urge the police service to bring every suspect or individuals involved in fake kidnapping to justice with no mercy.

There has undoubtedly been over 3 cases of fake kidnapping in the western region, Takoradi as all victims always turn out to have faked their kidnapping in other to benefit from the monies generated after blackmailing family members.

The case of the pregnancy silicon Takoradi lady and the recent case that witnessed another lady, Joanna confess to planning another kidnapping in the western region is no different considering how recent report of unexpected kidnappings at Takoradi has raised lots of concerns amongst citizens in the region and Ghana as a whole.

The popularly known Takoradi based Connect Fm broadcast journalist and morning show host, Emmanuel Paa Kwesi Simpson was recently placed on remand for publishing false news concerning the kidnapping of another lady in Takoradi.

According to the police and court, the false news published by the Takoradi-based Connect Fm journalist, Emmanuel Paa Kwesi Simpson was intended to cause fear and panic to the public as stipulated by the Public Order and the Electronic Communication Act, 775 of 2008.

After 14 days in police custody, the renowned broadcast journalist has recently been granted bail after a successful application at the High court today, November 8, 2021.

The popularly known broadcast journalist, Emmanuel Paa Kwesi Simpson is now out from remand on bail aside being slapped with a huge sum of Ghs 50,000 with two other sureties where one being a resident of Sekondi-Takoradi.

In addition to this, since the most anticipated case haven’t been closed yet, the popular broadcast journalist, Emmanuel Paa Kwesi Simpson is set to report to the police station at Takoradi once every week to assist in further investigations into the most anticipated case.

Even though most individuals have come out to claim that, the popular journalist should have paid more for publishing false news to put fear and panic in Ghanaians, others claim otherwise as they defended their claims with respective reasons.
