According to the Police statement, 12 Officers were injured and Police Vehicles were also damaged by the demonstrators. Again, the report stated that contrary to the court orders the organisers insisted on using routes leading to the Jubilee House and all attempt to persuade them to comply with the court approve route did not yield the expected results.
They explained that without any provocation the demonstrators began pelting the police with stones which led to 12 police officers who sustaining various degrees of injuries. The injured officers treated in the police mobile hospital and later transferred to the police hospital for further treatment.
The statement further noted that some police vehicles have been damaged.
They also said that the protesters further regroup and burnt eyes on the road and around circle the fire from the burning ty has since been put out by the police the police therefore had no option than to use tear gas and water can use to subdue the routing and restore order the process is still ongoing.
