About 7:30pm on Saturday October 9, 2021, four(4) fully masked robbery gang wearing trousers and shirts emerged on foot from the Ekye Market center and attacked Samuel Agbozo Enterprise (a mobile money vendor) and a nearby provision shop with daggers and AK47. The robbers invaded Samuel Agbozo Enterprise with gunshots ,destroyed his showcase took away the phones he had displayed for sale. They also took the mobile money cash he made that day.
They also attacked a nearby provision shop and took away huge sums of money into their bags before vanishing into the bush. The people selling there described it as a movie since everyone was scared for his life. A young man on motorbike identified as Bright, not aware of the robbery operation, was shot on his motorbike when he emerged the robbery scene at the roadside. Bright, who was motionless and bleeding profusely from gunshot injury, was rushed to Ekye Health Center by the police. However, he was declared dead on arrival.
A report I received this morning says one of the robbers has been arrested by the town boys in the community.
The video below shows his arrest and what the town boys had wanted to burn him alive to serve as a deterrence to others.
