God Bless JM: Ghanaians Praise JDM For Doing What Prez. Addo And His Vice Have Failed To Do

Former President John Dramani Mahama has taken a huge step ahead of government towards people who were affected by tidal waves in the Ketu South Municipality in the Volta Region of Ghana. The affected communities include Abutiakope, Kedzikope, and Keta Central. While the government [President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo or the Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia] is yet to visit the affected residents, the Former President took some time off his busy schedule to visit and sympathize with the victims who were affected by the tidal waves.

The Former President did not go to the area empty handed. He took along with him a truck loaded with various relief items (about 10,000 items) to distribute to the victims affected by the disaster. These items included 3000 mattresses, 2000 pieces of canned fish and tomatoes, 1000 bags of rice, assorted beverages, boxes of Nido and Milo among others.

Several Ghanaians have taken to the various social media handles to laud the Former President for his benevolent support. Some believe that the former president is doing the most even though taxes are not paid to him. One person with the Twitter handle (@kwakurafiki2) tweeted, "John Mahama supports Keta Residents. Unfortunately, the president whom the people of Keta pay taxes to has not responded to their calls for aid".

Another tweet read, "What Nana Akufo Addo, the President of Ghana couldn't do for the people of Adina and Keta, Former Prez John Mahama has done it more beautifully. God bless John Dramani Mahama".

What do you make of Former President John Dramani Mahama's move to donate relief items to the affected victims of the tidal waves? When will the President or the Vice President visit these affected persons? The President is on a well-deserved leave but the Vice President isn't.
