The Ghana Police Service has finally released all 29 suspects that were arrested following the rioting on the first day of Arise Ghana Demonstration.
It would be recalled that there were initial speculations that the police were even denying lawyers access to have an interaction with the suspects.
However, an official statement by the Ghana Police on Twitter said, "All 29 suspects who were arrested for rioting during the Arise Ghana demonstration on Monday 28th June, 2022 have been granted police enquiry bail."
The Police Service earlier noted that Twenty six (26) of them who have met the bail conditions have been released. The remaining three (3) are still going through the process of satisfying the bail conditions for their release.
However, latest update from the Ghana Police Service said all the 29 suspects have been granted bail.
The Ghana Police want to assure the general public that they remain committed to ensuring that all other perpetrators are arrested and prosecuted in accordance with the laws of the country.
