Monday, 3rd May 2021 Declared As A Public Holiday.

A letter had been issued out by the ministry of Interior under the leadership of Hon. Ambrose Dery on the declaration of Monday, 3rd May, 2021 as a public holidy.

Saturday, 1st May, 2021 marks May Day ( workers' Day), which is a statutory holiday, this was clearly stated out publicly by the Ministry.

However, since 1st May falls on Saturday, the President of the republic, His Excellency, Nana Addo Danquah Akuffo Addo has by executive instruments (E.I) in accordance with section 2 of the public holidays commemorative Days Act, (Act 601) publicly declared Monday, 3rd May, 2021 as an extra public holidayand should be observed as such throughout the country.

It therefore goes to every public worker to be abstain from work on this very day as a way of obeying the judgement that has been passed by the President.

The ministry of Interior brought all this to the notice of the public through the letter below.
