The pattern of the rainfall in the northern part of Ghana is once in a year unlike the southern part of the country where they experience the rain twice a year.
This has brought about only one rainy season in the northern sector. It's not surprising that some people of the north travel to South in search for work in order to earn income.
The rainy season in the northern sector specifically upper west normally starts from from May, but to the surprise of everyone, a heavy rain struck the people of Wa town this evening as of 20th March which lasted for about 2 hours.
This lead to the flood in waterlogged areas.
The rain have also caused a lot of havock to the residents of Wa.
The rain eroded most of the untired roads leaving big channels on them.
It also lead to the collapsing of some old buildings in waterlogged areas.
The residents did not believe it could rain that way, due to their negligence, most of the market men and women did not pack their goods and items before the rain started. And to their Surprise, the rain spoiled most of the food items.
Infact, if the rain will continue this way, then a big flood is likely to to hit the people of Wa.
