There has been news that shows that housewives have been maltreating their housemaids especially the ones who are not of age to defend themselves whenever they seemed to be oppressed. In a trending photo, the usual has happened again. A Christian woman who is a madam of a little girl has poured hot water on her (the little girl) for breaking an ordinary plate.
A member of Christ Embassy Church located opposite Government House Umuahia, Abia State, Nigeria, Mrs. Zazi David is currently offering explanations to men of the state police command following an allegation that she scaled hot water mixed with pepper on a 10-year-old Ifunanya who is her housemaid in their apartment located at a housing estate behind Saclux Paint off Aba Road, in Umuahia.
Mrs. David, a native of Aboh Mbaise, Imo State has at several occasions meted inhuman treatments against the househelp said to be an orphan, resulting in visible marks of violence on her body. The latest however left the victim's skin peeled off, a development that has since attracted condemnation.
When she was to the police station for interrogations, the victim could neither sit nor lie down as a result of the severity of injury she incurred all over her body.
According to PPRO of Abia State command SP Geoffrey Ogbonna, the police will ensure that the suspect will be prosecuted upon the conclusion of investigations.
