A man by the name Prosper Negble at the age of 40 years, has confessed of killing his wife the police have said.
Prosper Negble is a farmer, who hails from Kakadeji, a village in the Volta Region was arrested on the Saturday April 10 and has been subsequently charged with murder, contrary to section 46 of the Criminal Offence Act 1960
A District Magistrate Court in Somanya in the Eastern Region presided over by his Lordship, Justice A. Alafa, has remanded Prosper Negble who is suspected of killing his wife by the name Believe Sackitey, aged 28 years at Somanya.
The ploice said, the suspect in his statement on April 12, confessed for killing Believe his wife and pleased for forgiveness from fellow Ghanaians.
Detective/Inspector Francis Dornyo informed the court that the Gameli Guest House Manager who is the complainant in the case, on Tuesday, April 6, received a call from the receptionist of the Guest House that he has discovered a lifless body of a female with knife wounds in a pool of blood in Room 1 of the Guest House.
This was after the deceased with a male companion checked in the previous day, which was 5 of April 2021.
The suspect was arrested in a nose mask at the Somanya District Police Headquarters on April 10 2021, Saturday, after he was being identified as the person who checked in with the deceased by the receptionist of the Guest House.
