A police officer called Nuhu Abubakar, has lost his life in the process of safeguarding the natural resources that are found in Ghana.
Acccording to news circulating on almost all the social media platforms reveal that, a police officer who was issued to go and stop some people who were mining in the River Sui at Awukukrom, met his untimely death after he tried to collect all the mining equipments that the people were using to mine in the River.
Circulating news also discloses that, the police officer went to the crime scene with another security officer, and to their surprise they met nobody there, because those who were mining had fled from the part of the River Sui that they were mining to another place on the same river.
Police officer Nuhu Abubakar who was so eager to help end galamsey or illegal mining, tried to remove the mining tools and equipments that were been used to mine from the river, and unfortunately for him, he fell into the River Sui and dead.
This sad incident happened in the Suaman District in the River Sui at Awukukrom.
