A building has collapsed partially on two children in Duu West, a community in the Wa East District of Upper West Region.
Speaking to the Residents, they explained that the rains started heavily late hours of 28th April 2021 for over 7 hours, due to the storm that followed it, son roofing sheets were ripped off whilst others fell in the room piercing the skin of a girl and a boy who were fast asleep.
Some blocks of the house also fell into the room but fortunately didn't fall on any person as at the time.
The residents of Duu, a galamsey site in Upper West have called on the Regional NADMO directorate headed by Mr. Ahmed Mustapha to come to their aid, they aldo valled on the District Chief Executive of the Area, Mr. Moses Jotie to come to their aid in order to have the Issue addressed.
The victims are being treated in their rooms due to lack of a nearby health Hospital.
